4Patriots solar generator: the number the ads leave out
A 4Patriots bundle can cost much more than a similar-size battery from a mainstream brand, so compare the battery and included panels separately. Start with a lower-cost alternative that has enough output for your appliances. Check whether its price includes the panels and cables you need before comparing the totals.

Where the 4Patriots pages contradict themselves (a leftover spec block from another model, or a peak figure that differs between the comparison table and the FAQ), each unit's spec sheet uses the unit's own spec section and says so. A dash in a cell means 4Patriots does not state that figure; cycle life, solar input limit, recharge time and UPS switchover are the fields buyers most want and the ones most often left out.

How to read the comparison
Price per Wh is the neutral axis: the store price divided by rated capacity, so a 1,000 Wh unit and a 2,200 Wh unit compare fairly. A unit sold as a bundle (4Patriots includes panels and accessories in some listings) will look expensive on that axis because the panel is in the price and not in the Wh; the honest comparison is then bundle price against the rival station plus a panel of the same rating from the rival's store. The solar generators page has the panel arithmetic.
How long does it last?
The Patriot Power Sidekick Solar Generator states 2,000 cycles: about 38 years at one full cycle a week, or 5.5 years cycled daily. The Patriot Power Solar Generator 1200 states 4,000 cycles to 80% capacity: about 77 years at one full cycle a week, or 11 years cycled daily. The Patriot Power Solar Generator 2200X states 4,000 cycles: about 77 years at one full cycle a week, or 11 years cycled daily. Storage matters as much as chemistry for a unit used a few times a year: the chemistry guide covers it.
Every unit here links to its own spec sheet: Patriot Power Sidekick Solar Generator, Patriot Power Solar Generator 1200, Patriot Power Solar Generator 2200X. The whole range is on the 4Patriots brand page, and the sizing pagetells you whether any of them, or any rival, holds enough for your devices.
Questions buyers ask
Is the 4Patriots generator a good deal?
By price per watt-hour it sits well above the mainstream units at the same capacity in the tables above; the exact multiple is stated under each table and on each card. Whether the bundle's panel, accessories and warranty terms close that gap is a comparison you can make with the rival's store prices.
Are the 4Patriots solar generators any good?
On the published numbers they are ordinary LiFePO4 power stations at an unusually high price per watt-hour, with fewer figures stated than the mainstream brands give (no solar input limit, no cycle rating on some units). Each unit's detail page scores it on the same seven criteria as every other unit, with what independent reviews and owner reports say where any exist.
Who makes the 4Patriots power station?
4Patriots' pages do not name a manufacturer, and this site does not repeat claims it could not confirm from the maker. The spec sheet (capacity, output, chemistry, ports) is what can be compared.
Why compare within 25% of capacity?
Because a buyer choosing a 1,000 Wh class unit is choosing among 800 to 1,250 Wh units, not against a 300 Wh or a 5,000 Wh one. The band is fixed and applied the same way to every 4Patriots unit; the best picks page has every unit at every size.
