Data

Spec data: downloads, licence and attribution

The whole spec table is published as a CSV file and a versioned JSON API, with the manufacturer source URL and read date on every row, so anyone can check a figure or reuse the table without asking.

Last materially reviewed

Where to get it

CSV: /power-stations.csv, one row per unit with capacity, output, chemistry, cycles, weight, charging limits, price, the manufacturer source URL and the read dates. JSON: /api/v1/latest.json, the same rows plus brand records and dataset counts; /api/latest.json is a permanent alias for the current major version. Health: /api/v1/health.json reports the bundle's age and status. The OpenAPI description is at /openapi.json and a plain-text summary for language models is at /llms.txt.

All of these are static files served from the same build as the pages, so they can never disagree with what a page shows.

Open the CSV download or versioned JSON data. Check the data freshness status before reuse; the OpenAPI description documents the routes.

Licence

The specifications themselves are facts published by the manufacturers and belong to no one. The compilation, the normalisation and the provenance columns are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0): copy it, chart it, build on it, sell what you build, as long as you say where the table came from.

The written pages, the calculator and the site's visual design are not part of that licence and stay the operator's copyright.

How to credit it

Link to https://powerstations.reviews and name the read date of the rows you used, which is in the spec_observed_at column. A unit page URL is the best citation for a single figure because it shows the manufacturer source and the date beside the value; it is https://powerstations.reviews/power-stations/ followed by the row's id value, for example https://powerstations.reviews/power-stations/anker-solix-c1000.

If you republish a figure, republish its read date with it. A price without its date misleads the next reader.

API terms

No key, no sign-up, no rate limit is enforced. The files are small; please cache them for at least a day rather than fetching on every request. An optional ?client=yourname query parameter is documented in the OpenAPI file so a polite consumer can identify itself in access logs; nothing depends on it.

The v1 shape will not change in a way that breaks existing consumers. If a v2 is ever needed, v1 will keep serving for at least six months after v2 appears and this page will say so.

Questions about the data

Corrections, missing units, licence questions and requests for a field that is not in the table go to the address on the contact page. Include the unit id and the field name; a link to the manufacturer page that shows the right value gets a correction made fastest.

Sources behind the buying limitations

The buying guide separates official ratings, calculated AC energy and unavailable independent measurements. The calculation uses rated Wh × 0.85, a planning assumption rather than a measured efficiency. Review citations elsewhere on the site are not measurement records.

The home-connection guidance uses the following authority and manufacturer sources:
