How long will a power station run an electric blanket?

Draws

4.8h

55 of 56 units can run it. The smallest is the EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus (286 Wh, about 1.4 h). 27 hold 6 hours of an electric blanket with the calculator's 20% headroom.

A full-size electric blanket is rated 180 W (Biddeford's figure). It is a resistive heater, so there is no start-up surge, and a thermostat cycles it, so the real draw through a night is usually well below the rating.

What changes these hours

These hours assume the full 180 W the whole time, the worst case. Batteries deliver less in the cold, and most makers rate charging only from 32°F (0°C) upward; check the manual's charging temperature.

The 0.85 allowance covers the inverter's conversion losses on average; at very small loads its own idle draw takes a larger share, and at very large ones the battery delivers a little less. Cold batteries hold less, and an older battery holds less than its rating. To plan a whole day with other devices and 20% headroom, use the calculator with 6 hours of an electric blanket already added.

Also: a camping weekend, van life, and every device.

Questions buyers ask

How many watts does an electric blanket use?

Electric blanket (full size): 180 W. Your own model's label or manual has its figure; put it into the calculator's custom row to size for exactly yours.

What size power station do I need for 6 hours of an electric blanket?

1,525 Wh of rated capacity by the calculator's arithmetic (device watts × hours ÷ 0.85, plus 20% headroom), with at least 180 W of surge. 27 tracked units clear it.
