EcoFlow's two expandable steps toward home backup: the 2 kWh DELTA 2 Max against the 4 kWh DELTA Pro 3. The DELTA 2 Max is the cheaper energy, 26% less per watt-hour at the makers' prices, and is 63.5 lb lighter. The DELTA Pro 3 holds 2,048 Wh more, gives 1,600 W more continuous output and takes 2,600 W of solar against 1,000 W: buy it for that, and the DELTA 2 Max for the money.

Figure by figure
Compare the differences that matter for your devices; EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max leads on 3, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 on 5, and the rest are equal or not comparable.
Cycle counts are highlighted only when both makers rate them to the same remaining capacity. A full recharge is not ranked against a charge to 80%. Missing figures never count as an advantage. These are manufacturer ratings; matching endpoints do not prove identical test conditions.
Rated cycles: DELTA 2 Max, 3,000 to 80%; DELTA Pro 3, 4,000 to 80%.
As the maker states it; a dash where not published
Estimated AC energy = rated Wh × 0.85. Runtime = estimated AC energy ÷ load W, with no reserve. Capacity and weight differences use the displayed figures; price per Wh uses each model's own price and the day it was checked. The device draws are in the watt-hour calculator.
Capacity: DELTA Pro 3 minus DELTA 2 Max = 2,048 Wh (100% of the DELTA 2 Max figure).
Carry weight: DELTA Pro 3 minus DELTA 2 Max = 63.5 lb (127% of the DELTA 2 Max figure).
Price per Wh: DELTA Pro 3 minus DELTA 2 Max = 0.18 USD/Wh (36% of the DELTA 2 Max figure).

Hours = capacity × 0.85 ÷ device watts, with the draws from the device table; "Start" says whether the output and surge ratings cover the startup figure we use for each device (the refrigerator, 1,300 W startup allowance, from a larger 27 cu ft Whirlpool's tech sheet), so a "yes" there means likely, not certain, to start yours.

Buy the DELTA 2 Max if…
you want the most stored energy per dollar ($0.50 against $0.68 per Wh)
the $1,770 difference matters more than the specs
you carry it more than you run it (50 lb against 113.5 lb)
Top and front, to scale: 19.6 × 9.5 × 12 in. Ruler: 12 in.
Buy the DELTA Pro 3 if…
you need more continuous output (4,000 W continuous and 8,000 W surge, against 2,400 W and 4,800 W)
you need a higher solar input ceiling (2,600 W against 1,000 W); actual recharge depends on the panels
it will sit between the wall and a refrigerator or router (maker-stated 10 ms switchover; the other publishes none)
you want the higher stated cycle count at the same 80% remaining capacity (4,000 against 3,000); test conditions can still differ
you want the extra capacity (4,096 Wh against 2,048 Wh)
Top and front, to scale: 16.16 × 13.43 × 27.28 in. Ruler: 12 in.
Which is better for power outages, the DELTA 2 Max or the DELTA Pro 3?
EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 states a 10 ms switchover, so it can sit between the wall and a fridge or router and take over when the power cuts, once the device is in an outlet the manual gives the backup to and any AC timeout is off (for a CPAP or a computer, check that device rides through the switch); EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max publishes no switchover figure. EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 holds more (4,096 against 2,048). Check your appliance's startup watts against the surge figures in the table.
Which is cheaper per watt-hour?
DELTA 2 Max at $0.50 per Wh against $0.68. This compares purchase price with rated capacity, not lifetime delivered energy.
Can either run a window air conditioner?
Only if the air conditioner's running watts stay under the AC output (2,400 W on the DELTA 2 Max, 4,000 W on the DELTA Pro 3) and its start fits the surge figures in the table: read both on the air conditioner's label or in its manual, and test it before you rely on it. For the hours, multiply the rated Wh by 0.85 for inverter losses and divide by the running watts. A unit whose label says 500 W, for example, would run about 3.5 hours on the DELTA 2 Max and about 7 hours on the DELTA Pro 3 on a full charge, if its compressor ran without a break.
