Model comparison

BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 vs EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus

Two compact LiFePO4 units under 300 Wh with 600 W outlets. The Elite 30 V2 is the cheaper energy, 11% less per watt-hour at the makers' prices. The RIVER 3 Plus refills from the wall in 1 hour against 1 hour 10 minutes and takes an extra battery: buy it for that, and the Elite 30 V2 for the money.

Cycle counts are highlighted only when both makers rate them to the same remaining capacity. A full recharge is not ranked against a charge to 80%. Missing figures never count as an advantage. These are manufacturer ratings; matching endpoints do not prove identical test conditions.

Rated cycles: Elite 30 V2, 3,000 to 80%; RIVER 3 Plus, 3,000 to 80%.

Buy the Elite 30 V2 if…

  • you want the most stored energy per dollar ($0.87 against $0.98 per Wh)
  • the $29.01 difference matters more than the specs
  • you carry it more than you run it (9.5 lb against 10.4 lb)
  • you want the extra capacity (288 Wh against 286 Wh)

Questions buyers ask

Which is better for power outages, the Elite 30 V2 or the RIVER 3 Plus?

BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 states a 10 ms switchover, so it can sit between the wall and a fridge, router or CPAP and take over when the power cuts; EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus states 10 ms. BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 holds more (288 against 286). Check your appliance's start-up watts against the surge figures in the table.

Which is cheaper per watt-hour?

Elite 30 V2 at $0.87 per Wh against $0.98. This compares purchase price with rated capacity, not lifetime delivered energy.

Can either run a window air conditioner?

A small window unit draws 500 to 1,000 W running and several times that for an instant at start; check the surge figure in the table against the air conditioner's label. Either way an afternoon of it empties a 1 kWh unit; the RV page works the rooftop version.
