Model comparison

Anker SOLIX C1000 vs Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2

Anker's first C1000 against the Gen 2 that followed it. The C1000 is the cheaper energy, 3% less per watt-hour at the makers' prices, and takes an extra battery. The C1000 Gen 2 gives 200 W more continuous output, is 3.5 lb lighter and refills from the wall in 49 minutes against 58 minutes: buy it for that, and the C1000 for the money.

Cycle counts are highlighted only when both makers rate them to the same remaining capacity. A full recharge is not ranked against a charge to 80%. Missing figures never count as an advantage. These are manufacturer ratings; matching endpoints do not prove identical test conditions.

Rated cycles: C1000, 3,000 to 80%; C1000 Gen 2, 4,000 to 80%.

Estimated AC energy = rated Wh × 0.85. Runtime = estimated AC energy ÷ load W, with no reserve. Capacity and weight differences use the displayed figures; price per Wh uses each model's own price record and date. Device-load inputs are in the sizing calculator.

Buy the C1000 if…

  • you want the most stored energy per dollar ($0.45 against $0.46 per Wh)
  • you may want to add a battery later
  • you want the extra capacity (1,056 Wh against 1,024 Wh)
Top and front, to scale: 14.8 × 8.07 × 10.5 in. Ruler: 12 in.

Buy the C1000 Gen 2 if…

  • you carry it more than you run it (24.9 lb against 28.4 lb)
  • you need more continuous output (2,000 W continuous and 3,000 W surge, against 1,800 W and 2,400 W)
  • it will sit between the wall and a refrigerator, router or CPAP (maker-stated 10 ms switchover; 20 ms for the other)
  • you want the higher stated cycle count at the same 80% remaining capacity (4,000 against 3,000); test conditions can still differ

Questions buyers ask

Which is better for power outages, the C1000 or the C1000 Gen 2?

Anker SOLIX C1000 states a 20 ms switchover, so it can sit between the wall and a fridge, router or CPAP and take over when the power cuts; Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 states 10 ms. Anker SOLIX C1000 holds more (1,056 against 1,024). Check your appliance's start-up watts against the surge figures in the table.

Which is cheaper per watt-hour?

C1000 at $0.45 per Wh against $0.46. This compares purchase price with rated capacity, not lifetime delivered energy.

Can either run a window air conditioner?

A small window unit draws 500 to 1,000 W running and several times that for an instant at start; check the surge figure in the table against the air conditioner's label. Either way an afternoon of it empties a 1 kWh unit; the RV page works the rooftop version.
